We recently conducted a comprehensive step-down training for our enumerators involved in the Resilience and Social Cohesion Project in Yobe and Borno States. This training is designed to ensure that necessary skills and knowledge are disseminated widely and effectively. It equips our enumerators with the expertise needed to conduct Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) pulse checks and evaluations. This training is essential for gathering reliable feedback, conducting thorough process evaluations, and performing precise context analyses and situation monitoring. At FACT, we are committed to precision in data gathering and analysis, and step-down training is a key component of that commitment. #FactFoundation #StepDownTraining #ResilienceAndCohesion #PeaceProject #Yobe #Borno #CommunityDevelopment #CapacityBuilding

Addressing the persistent issues ongoing in the northeast requires comprehensive and data-driven interventions. Hence, the project "Information Management Services for Improved Evidence-Based Humanitarian Interventions in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States" is a critical step in this direction, focusing on delivering multi-sectoral information to support effective humanitarian responses. FACT, plays a pivotal role in this project as the co-chair of the Assessment and Analysis Working Group (AAWG). Our efforts are directed towards conducting thematic assessments that provide a nuanced understanding of the humanitarian needs across the BAY states. These assessments are essential for informing response strategies and ensuring resources are allocated where they are most needed. Through collaborative efforts, FACT has been instrumental in transitioning from Area-Based Assessments to a more comprehensive Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment framework. This shift allows for a more detailed and targeted approach to data collection, addressing specific vulnerabilities and improving the overall coordination and effectiveness of humanitarian interventions. Our commitment to rigorous data analysis and stakeholder engagement underscores FACT's dedication to enhancing the humanitarian community's capacity to respond to crises with precision and impact. As part of its monthly meetings, the AAWG is primarily focused on strategizing the 2024 MSNA amidst time constraints and complexities in the varying security stages of the North East region. Key discussions revolve around the critical role of the MSNA outcomes in shaping humanitarian responses. Insights gleaned from discussions with partner organizations and other INGOs are to enhance the process. FACT notably underscored the need for collaborative resource pooling to expedite assessments and reduce reliance on annual donor funding cycles, alongside calls for methodological adaptations to align with the evolving needs of the region. #HumanitarianAid #DataDriven #CrisisResponse #FACT #HumanitarianInterventions #EvidenceBased #Nigeria
