Nearly $3.6 million is being invested in our coil and extrusion coatings plant in Garcia, Mexico. As well as increasing production capacity by 35%, it will also enable us to grow with customers across North America – including the south-west of the US. The Garcia site is one of three coil and extrusion coatings-focused facilities that we operate in the North American region. The products are typically used on domestic appliances and by the construction and transportation industries. https://lnkd.in/eUvzYYES #AkzoNobel #PaintTheFuture #CoilCoatings

Delighted to be breaking new ground at our Aerospace Coatings production site in Pamiers, France. A formal stone-laying ceremony took place recently to signal the start of the site’s €22 million redevelopment program. Increasing production capacity by 50%, the upgrade aligns with our company-wide strategy for industrial excellence and sustainable growth. Product innovation will be supported by two dedicated research and development laboratories, where work will continue to develop more chromate-free products for the future. #AkzoNobel #Innovation #PaintTheFuture AkzoNobel Aerospace

Honored to now be permanently attached to The Night Watch and its incredible story. Our CEO, Gregoire Poux-Guillaume, was one of a handful of people that contribute to the restoration of the painting who were invited to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. They had the privilege of writing their names into the painting’s illustrious history by adding their signatures to the back of Rembrandt’s world famous painting. Now out of its huge frame, a new backing board has been added and the signatures were attached to this on stickers. As a main partner of Operation Night Watch, we’re playing an important role in the artwork’s extensive conservation and are now woven into its future. #AkzoNobel #OperationNightWatch #Rijksmuseum #Rembrandt #PaintTheFuture

Cartoon woodland creatures are putting smiles on the faces of young patients at Poland’s largest medical facility for children. Using 300 liters of our Dulux brand, Polish actress and brand ambassador, Magdalena Boczarska, recently helped around 100 volunteers paint cheerful frescoes on the main corridor and nursing room of the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. Our “Let’s Colour” project’s soothing pastel tones have been specially selected to reassure patients during their stay. #AkzoNobel #Dulux #AkzoNobelCares #LetsColour #PaintTheFuture

As a recognized sustainability leader, we work hard to maintain our high standards. So we’re proud to have consolidated our position as a frontrunner in the paints and coatings industry, following the latest updates from two important ESG rating agencies. As well as retaining MSCI’s top AAA rating and “leader” status, we’ve also maintained our low risk rating from Morningstar Sustainalytics Corporate Solutions. We believe in creating a better tomorrow. That’s why we’ve planted a Miyawaki forest at our new site in Faisalabad, Pakistan. And we’ve made sure that up to 30% of the plant’s electricity is generated using locally-produced solar power. #AkzoNobel #PaintTheFuture #Sustainability #LetsColour #AkzoNobelCares #Pakistan

We’re beyond proud that our Sikkens brand has played an important role in keeping a piece of history alive. After meticulous restoration work, artist Christo’s iconic outdoor work, ’56 Barrels’, is back on display in the sculpture garden at the Kröller-Müller Museum in the Netherlands. The barrels have been carefully resprayed in eight vibrant hues, in line with the original 1977 color scheme. Our sustainable Sikkens paint system means that, as well as looking great, the artwork is perfectly protected against the elements. If you get the chance, visit the museum to admire this masterpiece in all its renewed glory, and see how something as banal as a stack of oil barrels becomes a thing of beauty!
