For NGOs, the power of the community is essential. This is one of the key lessons we've learned and continue to pass on. Whether it's translations, UX, research, or coding, every contribution matters. Along the way, we've met amazing individuals who started as volunteers and later became our colleagues. Salome Margvelashvili is one such example. She was initially one of 13 Online Volunteers who supported us at Commit Global by translating Website Factory: NGO—an intuitive and easy-to-use website builder designed specifically for NGOs—into her native language. Thanks to their efforts, the platform is now accessible in over 15 languages, including Arabic, Armenian, Dutch, Georgian, and Ukrainian. This has enabled people affected by humanitarian crises to access crucial information. As a result, organizations like Leaders for Justice, a community of young legal professionals promoting dialogue and cooperation, used Website Factory: NGO to build their websites. There’s always room for those who want to make a difference. 🤝 Yesterday, Romania and the United States signed a crucial partnership to combat child trafficking. 🟡 We are honored to be among the implementing organizations, working alongside other NGOs with expertise and experience in this field. 📍 Over the next five years, the United States will contribute up to 10 million dollars to support these vital efforts. Planned achievements include the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Child Digital Safety and a National Center for Combating Online Abuse and Sexual Exploitation of Minors. 🙌 We are delighted that our expertise, combined with that of other renowned organizations, will leverage both local and international perspectives to develop innovative and effective solutions for protecting children and combating trafficking.  #CommitGlobal #InfrastructureForGood

🌟 Important question: Do you know how to help someone suffering from PTSD? Do you recognize the signs and can you offer support? In the last few years, words such as pandemic, war, earthquake and crisis have become part of our daily lives, reflecting events that have profoundly affected our mental health. For all those going through difficult times and impacted by trauma, we have created the PTSD Help app, an essential resource to offer support and reassurance that they are not alone in their struggle. 🤝 Designed as a personal companion, the app offers support by providing information about PTSD symptoms, exercises for handling difficult times, self-assessment quizzes for stressful situations and advice on how to seek emergency help if needed. We have an opportunity to use technology to help the most vulnerable groups and make a positive difference to their lives and the lives of professionals in the field, working together. Available in 🇷🇴🇺🇦, the PTSD Help app is developed by Code for Romania together with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, part of the US government. For the Romanian version, we worked with our partners from the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Trauma. PTSD Help is just one of the solutions through which Romania is contributing to #CommitGlobal to confidentially support people in vulnerable situations, making it easier to access help. We can do this thanks to financial support from Germany through the Humanitarian Assistance Digital Infrastructure project. 🕜 When time counts, actions are crucial: On February 24, 2022, the war reached Romania's borders. In just 72 hours, our team created Dopomoha.ro, an essential platform built in support of Ukrainian refugees. Dopomoha marked the way in which technology has radically transformed humanitarian crisis management, bringing authorities, international organizations and civil society together in a single digital ecosystem. In this way, refugees received the information and support they needed, with no wasted resources and without the dangers associated with misinformation. On Dopomoha you can find: 🔶 Verified and centralized information; 🔶 Easy access in multiple languages; 🔶 Tailored for all the needs of a refugee. 🏆 Today, Dopomoha is not just a digital platform - it's a story of solidarity and community action that has received global recognition. The Civil Society Gala Grand Prize, UNHCR Special Award, Paris Peace Forum award and many more are a reflection of how accessing and delivering humanitarian aid has been transformed. 🟡 Dopomoha.ro, a platform delivered in less than 72 hours and impacting more than 2 million people, continues to this day to remain the central information point for Ukrainian refugees, from resources on healthcare programs to housing and education. Available in 🇷🇴🇬🇧🇺🇦🇷🇺, Dopomoha is a project developed together with the Romanian Government, the Department for Emergency Situations, IOM Romania, Romanian National Council for Refugees - CNRR, UNHCR Romania. Dopomoha is just one of the ways Romania is supporting refugees, making access to aid easier and strengthening communities in difficult times. While technology offers many benefits, it can also expose us to risks like human trafficking or online grooming—a process where individuals, often under 18, are manipulated for sexual abuse or exploitation. 🚨 Grooming can happen to anyone and is never the victim's fault. Predators use platforms like social media, dating apps, and chat rooms to target vulnerable individuals through deceptive means, exploiting their trust and vulnerabilities. When it comes to vulnerable communities such as displaced populations or impoverished communities with low access to services and education, the danger is increasingly bigger. 🔍 Let's stay informed and vigilant.
