Oakham Nub News has teamed up with a reader to share a regular 'Cocktail of the Week' feature, including classics, reinventions of familiar favourites and some crazy concoctions unique to Nub News.

Reader and cocktail connoisseur, Josh is back this week with another fruity little number as the summer threatens to bring the sun!

This week, enjoy a twist on a sangria (of sorts!)

Ingredients:

  • 25ml rosé
  • 25ml cranberry juice
  • 25ml berry gin or vodka
  • 25ml lemon juice

Method:

  1. cut the leaves off and muddle your strawberries in a shaker until they form a paste
  2. add a few cubes of ice and the rest of your liquids
  3. shake until chilled
  4. strain into a coupe or martini glass
  5. garnish with a spare strawberry
