BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Let's make Brooklyn proud. Brooklyn Pride Day 2019 is Saturday, June 8, and the borough is going to celebrate all day long and way into the night.

There are all kinds of celebrations and all kinds of ways to feel proud. Want to run around Prospect Park? There's an event for that. Wanna sit in on a drag queen story hour with your kid? There's an event for that. Want to spend the day in a rainbow tutu, body glitter and a smile? There are so many events for that.

5K Pride Run

Where: Prospect Park

When: 10 a.m.

What: Hundreds of runners will trot around Prospect Park to raise funds for Brooklyn Pride’s Volunteer Grant, which supports local LGBTQIA+ community nonprofits.


MultiCultural Festival

Where: Fifth Avenue between First and Ninth streets.

When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What: A six-block street fair featuring Brooklyn business and community organizations gathering together to celebrate Pride.


Brooklyn Pride Family Fun Zone

Where: Old Stone House at 336 3rd Street

When: Noon to 4 p.m.

What: The city and the Gay-Straight Alliance will host an afternoon of kid-friendly events that include a giant bubble performance, puppet making and a drag queen story hour.


BKLYN Pride Exhibit

Where: City Point at 445 Albee Square West

When: All Day

What: City Point unveils this new exhibit from artist Aaron Sciandra, inspired by Hugh Ryan's latest book, "When Brooklyn Was Queer."


Yes Homo: A Queer Daytime Party

Where: C'Mon Everybody at 325 Franklin Ave.

When: 3 p.m.

What: A daytime, 21+ dance party celebrating queer culture.


Twilight Parade

Where: Lincoln Place and Fifth Avenue to Ninth Street and Fifth Avenue

When: 7:30 p.m.

What: New York's only nighttime Pride Parade.


Brooklyn Pride Queer Country After-Party

Where: Union Hall at 702 Union St.

When: 8 p.m.

What: This night of singing and dancing features performers Ryan Cassata, Paisley Fields, Mercy Bell, Karen & The Sorrows and Goldenchild.


Laid BK Pride 2019

Where: Bell House at 149 Seventh St.

When: 8:30 p.m.

What: Dance the night away at this Bell House party hosted by Kotic Couture.


Yes! We Are Brooklyn Pride

Where: House of Yes at 2 Wyckoff Ave.

When: 10 p.m.

What: House of Yes's Fifth Anniversary celebration is expected to draw in about a thousand people for an "over-the-top, all-out expression of love, music, freedom, equality with splash of glitter on the dance floor."
