Ex-NYPD Cop Pleads Guilty In Brooklyn Love Triangle Shooting

Yvonne Wu​ fatally shot her ex-girlfriend and another woman on Oct. 13, 2021​, according to authorities.

BROOKLYN, NY —Yvonne Wu, a former NYPD officer, has pled guilty to charges for wounding her ex-girlfriend and fatally shooting a 24-year-woman inside a Brooklyn apartment in 2021, authorities announced.

Wu pled guilty to one count of manslaughter and one count of attempted murder, prosecutors said.

Wu, shot Jamie Liang in the chest on Oct. 13, 2021 and also shot and wounded 24-year-old Jenny Li inside a Bensonhurst apartment, according to the New York Attorney General’s Office.

The former police officer had recently broken up with Liang prior to the deadly incident.

Wu, had been a five-year veteran of the NYPD serving in Sunset Park's 72nd Precinct.

As part of the plea, prosecutors have recommended Wu be sentenced to 27 years in prison. Her next court appearance is slated for Aug. 28.
