For example, diffs can get quite cluttered in languages with few labels set:

When the value is used in wikitext on the client, you probably also don't want them. I think the language indicators are mostly relevant in places where the value can be edited.

I suggest that we continue this discussion in tickets for the mentioned stories instead of on the ticket for the technical task.
