Closing this because there's not a lot to go on here and I haven't noticed this. Could be that this was happening when the utterance prerendering was going on.

I did some quick calculations on what we'd need to change to not go over the number of executions, changing interval and probes (i.e. how many servers that do each check).

There are a few different ways to monitoring tasks that would be helpful during development, but also when deployed: https://docs.celeryq.dev/en/stable/userguide/monitoring.html.

The patch above reverts some changes that I believe were made by mistake in the m2c merge. With that the updating is done as a background job which hopefully makes it a bit more stable.

I've experimented a bit and think that we can use autoretry_for for this. Maybe set it to (Exception,) just to be sure.
