I think in the same way there's a 90/10 rule with horror and comedy (horror works best when it's 90% horror and 10% comedy and vice versa) there's a 90/10 rule for some relationships in fiction that's like. Wholesome and fucked up. A good friendship is at its most compelling when it's also 10% a bit fucked up. Fucked up relationship is at its most compelling when there's at least 10% of something actually sweet and substantive within. Do you get me

Inside you there are 2 wolves. One acknowledges that someone else not enjoying or even hating a thing you like does not erase your positive feelings toward that thing and they are merely expressing their opinion. The other froths out the mouth when someone says anything remotely negative about the thing you like. You need to not write that essay telling that person why they're wrong

#and if you must just write that essay and share it with nobody#just to get it out of your system

#I know it's unlikely to actually happen but the idea of double casting is really fun to me#like with the little recasting announcement for delainey at the beginning of season 2 they could just fully lean in to the theater of it al#bring ben daniels back as marius#I know I've seen people say bailey bass should come back as one of daniels daughters or granddaughters#but also consider; bailey as sybil#and it would be such a fun way to draw attention to narrative parallels between characters#by having them literally played by the same person!#and like I know it's unlikely to happen because it could be confusing for some viewers#but it's just a fun idea to think about

I'm generally of the opinion that trying to resurrect prematurely cancelled shows is like necromancyโ€”odds are they'll come back wrong.

Except for Galavant. Any Galavant revivial will be funnier the longer it stayed cancelled.

armand being a firm believer in method acting who tells his company shit like "uhmmmm do i hear FRENCH from the lips of an ENGLISH company??? remember u gotta live it off stage if you wanna be it on stage..." like yeah okay the guy who fully pretends to be whoever his current companion wants him to be and doesn't reflect on this one minute but instead just pretends everything is fine and normal and as it should be believes in pretending to be something you're not with total disregard of your own true self so you can play a convincing part for an audience. fork found in kitchen.
