While some of the actions won’t work right away, we are working to support more coming soon. You will be able to switch back to Google Assistant in app settings.
Gemini opt in is rolling out to select devices and countries - opt in to Gemini from your Google Assistant or by downloading the Gemini app.

Got a new phone and this app won't work regardless of how I have it set. Why? All through the reviews people are saying it doesn't work. How about fixing it, instead of directing people to your help forum? I know what to do and it was enabled on my previous phone yet on this Samsung it keeps turning off. I need to be able to use this with maps and hands free texting while driving.

If i could leave less than one star, I would. I have the Zflip 5 and since it updated right after I got it, the google assistant doesn't woek when the phone is folded closed. It'll pop up on the cover screen but then it directs you to open it to actually ask it anything. What's the point in having it if you have to open the phone to use assistant? I've tried removing updates and it still doesn't work. Pretty much useless for zflip 5s and other foldable phones.

It does a lot and it's fantastic, when it works. Far too many bugs considering the amount of money, time, research, and development that's gone into this program. The texting feature is always hit or miss and often texts someone other than who I specifically mentioned. This has led to very confusing situations. It's wonderful to use when the routines, songs, GPS, etc. work! It just doesn't work, so much of the time.
