Inspired by the black activism that she has seen around her since the 1960s, giving voice to injustice has been the driving force in her life. However, as she prepares to go on a demonstration for the young black victims of the tragic New Cross fire in 1981, she finds herself giving expression to a deeper, more personal loss for the very first time.
