Back from vacation and I have a finish! And this is finally a good picture showing the colors of the fabric and threads properly!
She's stitched mostly as charted, except I changed the backstitch color (I think it was grey, why do so many Mira/Nora charts have GREY backstitch for skin?!) and a few of the bead colors were subbed with something in my stash that was close enough.
Also, looking at her all completed like this, I think I know why I can't stop feeling like her back is to the viewer, even though it's supposed to be her front. It's her hair! When I look at her body and ignore her hair, I can clearly see her facing forward. As soon as my eyes see the way her hair spills over her shoulder, my brain flips around to seeing her as facing away.
I'm lazy so I probably won't actually do this, but I think I should redo her left shoulder (the one on the right in the picture) so the shoulder is in front with her hair behind.
Or maybe I can just move on with my life, haha.
