Sorry for the ugliness of the view, or should I be the one sorry or the occupation? Of course, dear reader, you could not bear the ugliness of the scene, but what should I and my family say? We have been here since the third of December,

[ vertified by @nabulsi and elshabhussien , num.221 on fundraising list ! ]

Note, the iron thing in the picture in the back is the primitive oven in which we bake our daily bread using firewood and plastic. CAN YOU IMAGINE ????!!!!!!! Is your food covered in sewage, urine and feces? Sorry for the words but this is crazy, I'm going to lose my mind!

We have been here since the third of December,in addition to the filth and waste, it explodes daily due to the presence of 30,000 thousand displaced people. It explodes and the place here is flooded with filth, sewage and dirt. It is definitely a hotbed of diseases. Why do I and my family have to live, sleep, eat and cook here?????? Do you see this little threshold? A few centimeters that separate us and it's not enough, a lot of insects and worms,If you go out with your shoes, they will get dirty and dirt will enter inside. We are inevitably stuck in dirt. Is there a decent person who would be satisfied with a life like this? I am tired. We are all exhausted by the disease. Everyone is here with yellow eyes and epidemic hepatitis. Everyone is like a zombie because of this tragic and inhuman situation in which we live. My family does not leave the bed due to the severity of illness and fatigue. [is there a bed? Of course NO, we sleep on the floor, specifically on dirt, but unfortunately we have begun... We get used to the tent like a house and we use its terminology. This habit and habituation is killing me. I cannot accept and do not want anyone to accept the humiliation we are experiencing Or try to beautify it in any way.]

If you would like to help even a little for my family, please do not hesitate for a moment. It is an unbearable situation. Our lives have been destroyed. Or you can help spread the link to our family to someone who might be able to help. Thank you for reading. Have a good day. At least someone should be happy today.

I drew this to express a little about the conflict we live in every second, a lot of voices and fears, a lot of helplessness and futile striving, a lot of fear and hunger, many, many attacks the Palestinian every second, there are many causes of our death! What's terrible is that you face them all at the same moment!
I feel helpless and terrified about me and my family. If you can help, even a little, do not hesitate. Your little means a lot to us.

artwork by raghad qanou follow: @rhq2744 verified ✔: no. 221 on el-shab-hussein/nabulsi's sheet

dear moots/lovely lurkers- please read 🖤

raghad has finally reached the very first milestone in her fundraiser! that's right gang, thanks to the continuous support of friends/strangers alike, raghad's family has raised a whopping ✨£5,095as promised, here is another beautiful original by miss raghad herself 🖤

for those who haven't gotten a chance to meet her yet, please allow raghad to introduce herself in her own words:

Hello everyone, I am Raghad Qanou, a second-year human medicine student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, or rather, I was like that, before I lost everything, literally everything... Before the 7th of October, me and my family [8 members] were living in our cute house in the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza, after huge suffering to repair it and return to living in it after it was destroyed in the 2014 war on Gaza. My family and I were forced to leave our home and forcibly move under fire 7 times so far! All this to escape death and hold on to the last shred of hope for a decent life! excerpt from raghad's gfm campaign page (read full story here)

i first met raghad sometime in june after she messaged me here on tumblr. one of the first things she shared with me (besides her name lol) was this piece:

title: waiting for a ceasefire "only hope and art keep us alive here in gaza ...." -raghad qanou

since then, we've been able to chat a handful of times-- i told her how much i loved her artwork and she excitedly shared even more of her work with me

raghad is a talented artist- a loving sister- a diligent student- a wonderful daughter- and someone who deserves a chance to live a life worth living. her whole family does

they continue to suffer through horrific living conditions and rely on y'all to help carry their burden. to reveal yourself so vulnerably to the world is far from easy. so often, we are told to grit our teeth and push through whatever ails us in silence. but this is a type of pain that cannot and should not be felt alone. and it will take everyone to band together so we can begin to heal

raghad's campaign still has a long way to go. to help things move along, i am proposing another art reveal

if we can get raghad to £15K- i will unveil another beautiful piece from her collection of artwork!

as of posting, raghad's family has raised £5,095 / £55,000.

for those able, please consider donating by clicking the link below + share this post so others may get the chance to help out too 🖤

tags for reach below cut (note: sorry gang, ik we're not really moots. if you're here- it's cause i pulled people from a post that promoted a gfm in the past. please let me know if you do not wish to be tagged in future posts. no hard feelings, truly 🖤)

🚨 Urgent: Low of Funds! 🚨

Hello everyone!

I would like to spotlight a particular fundraiser.

Raghad (@rhq2744) was a human medicine student in her second year at Al-Azhar University before the genocide began. She attended lectures, collaborated with her colleagues and professors, and enjoyed her university life. It was going well for her.

Until it didn't. Bombs dropped as the air chilled and the leaves turned red and brown. One after another. The horizon bled orange. It was daytime at night.

Everything she knew was gone. Buried under the rubble. Brunt to the ground. She was no longer a student experiencing the best time of her youth.

While it is heartbreaking to know her education is halted, let's take in the fact that she is a powerful woman in STEM! Don't we love to see it? We most certainly do!

So let's help Raghad! Her fundraiser is extremely low on funds. As of writing this, £4,470 out of £55,000 has been raised. That is not even a third of her goal!

Please donate. Consider giving as little as £5. It may seem like a small amount, but it does make a great difference. Especially if everyone pitches in!

Do not forget to reblog and share her story! It will give her fundraiser the much needed exposure and momentum! It is the least you can do.

Thank you!

I painted this drawing after the Khiyam massacre in Rafah, when people were burned and children were beheaded. After they had been displaced and displaced several times in search of safety, they killed them in their deceptive safety .....

Hello, I am a human medicine student from Gaza City. My name is raghad , I am asking you for urgent help in publishing the link for my family and delivering it to people interested and able to help us. I did not want to do that, but the tragic situation we are living in is what made me have to do this. I feel sad and helpless, after we had Everything, we are now homeless on the streets, we live in a tent next to a dilapidated public toilet and there is sewage, filth and waste everywhere, we sleep on it! We suffer from terrible heat, insects and scorpions, the danger of death, bombs and missiles, in addition to hunger of course, and the danger of pollution and terrible diseases.Especially digestive, respiratory and reproductive! My younger siblings are suffering and very sick. They are terrified of everything, especially scorpions and insects. My father and mother cannot bear it any longer. You have the right to imagine that when you spend your life building for yourself and your children to live a decent life, all of this goes away in the blink of an eye, and now when you reach the age you should To rest in it, you are forced to start over !!? , but the most important thing now is to try to stay alive and protect your children from all the factors of death that surround us! I ask anyone who has humanity or conscience to feel our situation and put himself in our place. How can a person who has lived with dignity all his life accept this? We are dying slowly every day. Please, if anyone can help, even if just a little, do not delay! Your little means a lot to us!

Hello again, I have been disconnected for several days due to the internet outage in the area, as we are forced to walk very far to get a signal, and it is very weak, because the occupation targets telecommunications companies so that we do not spread our suffering and that our voices or our suffering do not reach you!
What are the updates? There is nothing new except that the same tragedy is becoming more severe day by day. We are dying in many ways, from bombs, missiles, and phosphorus. We are dying from lack of food, from the pollution surrounding us from every direction, and from infection. We are dying from continuous physical harm, carrying water long distances, and standing in lines. We insult our dignity in order to get some food to satisfy our hunger. We die from sleeping on the floor and sewers. We die from continuous and non-stop psychological harm for more than 250 days. We die from successive shocks, tragic news, massacres and mass graves. We die from separation from our loved ones and friends.
We are dying of hope that this will end. This is a nightmare, this is a disaster. No normal human being can live in these conditions for a few days. We have been here for 9 months!!! I do not have the words or energy to write or describe the suffering. If the world wanted this to end, it would have ended in the first month, but it seems that our blood is cheap
I am tired of resisting my thoughts, I am tired of this drain, and of trying to coexist or be patient. Patience has run out. The children have been here before Adults thinking about su*icide! No one blames them! We are in hell now!
If you would like to help even a little for my family, please do not hesitate for a moment. It is an unbearable situation. Our lives have been destroyed. Or you can help spread the link to our family to someone who might be able to help. Thank you for reading. Have a good day. At least someone should be happy today.

This is me and my sister Mai, she is 15 years old. Before the war, Mai was diagnosed with a spinal sprain, which affected her breathing and her daily activities. She was undergoing physical therapy sessions in preparation for a serious surgery, but unfortunately the war came, and Mai did not get her client. Nor her physical therapy sessions.
Not only that, she does a lot of effort every day in our tragic life, from cleaning, carrying water, washing, and washing our hands. We try as much as possible to make her rest, but our life is very primitive and difficult, forcing her to interfere with us. Now the twisting has become more difficult, and she cannot sleep or breathe. Well, there are no hospitals for examination or follow-up. The priority now is for the dead and wounded. I feel terrified for my sister. She is really suffering. I fear that her condition will deteriorate and the worst will happen. Our priority when any opportunity allows is to treat her. I swear that this is our priority.
Please, if there is an opportunity to contribute or help with anything, do not hesitate for a moment. I do not want to lose my sister....

Hello, let me introduce you my uncle, Ihab. He is my great uncle. He is an airline captain who graduated from Egypt and Turkey and returned to work here at Gaza International Airport, but the occupation destroyed him in 2000 and destroyed his dreams with it. He became an unemployed citizen ever since. He married and started a family. He loves his children very much. Rather, he adores them. I have never seen a father so caring in my life, who would do anything for his children, even if he died for them, and this is what happened 💔💔💔, as a Gazan citizen trying to protect himself and his family, who had moved during the war to a shelter affiliated with UNRWA, They endure crowding, pollution, and problems in search of safety. There, like us, they live on canned goods.
His daughter asked him for real food because her stomach was tired of canned food, so he went home on foot to cook for his children and come back [he went there after the occupation army officially announced its withdrawal from the area], but what happened? The planes spotted him, so they dropped two barrels of explosives on the house. Is this reasonable? is this normal ? Two barrels of explosives to kill an unarmed civilian who came to cook for his hungry children !!!!! He was not turned into pieces, he was not killed at the same moment, he was hit in the head and sat bleeding, but he held on to life! He walked to get out of the rubble so that someone would notice him or save him. His feet could not carry him, so he began crawling, leaving a path of blood behind him, until our relatives found him, notified us, and took him to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, the hospital located in the Central Governorate, and the only one in the Gaza Strip currently after he was killed. The occupation destroyed all hospitals according to its multiple policy of annihilating us. There was no room for him. The hospital was full of martyrs and wounded. He bled for 40 minutes on the way to the hospital because there were no other hospitals. Then he lost consciousness and bled more and more while waiting. After they admitted him to intensive care, he died. We went to say goodbye to him. His body was swollen. And inflated [because it was not placed in the morgue because there was no room for all this number of dead],His eyes were out of place due to the terrible pressure his body was exposed to during the explosion. I will never forget this picture in my life. They destroyed the picture of my kind, beloved uncle. He treated me like a princess since I was their first granddaughter. He would get down on his knees, kiss my hand, carry me, and wrap me around the whole place. Even after I turned twenty, they deprived me of it. My heart is breaking. Enough loss, enough blood, enough deaths. We are tired. I swear we are tired. How many deaths must we reach for all of this to stop? The number of corpses that arrived at the hospital has exceeded 37,000, while the original number has exceeded 50,000 who are under the rubble or whose bodies are in the streets.Or in mass graves underground, or their bodies have decomposed due to the deadly weapons they use, or the bodies have become part of the port that America made with the remains of the rubble of houses. They moved to remove the rubble to make a port to take out the Zionist prisoners, but they did not move to remove the bodies from under the rubble. The bodies did not die at the same moment. The bodies were alive for hours or days, eventually dying from bleeding, lack of oxygen, hunger, or even the idea of inevitable death. Is this life? Do we deserve all this? What is our fault, O Allah ? What is our fault?
My mother is taking care of my cousin’s children now. Her heart breaks for her big brother. She cries all day long and I can’t bear to see her like this. My heart hearts , but I must hold on tight for her sake. If you want to help, you can visit the following link, or try to spread it as much as possible.

You are our only hope.

I'm going to lose my mind, what did we do to have a life like this? We sleep next to filth and sewage. We wake up to black worms. My younger brothers are terrified and crying. How far have we come, from our clean, comfortable home, to a tent full of insects and terrible things? Oh God, save us , You have the freedom to imagine what the smell would be like here, or the sounds, since you live next to a toilet because there is no place for you and your family anywhere. Imagine that a million and a half people would be crowded here. The situation is tragic.

If you can help, even if just a little, do not delay. I do not want the next news to be the news of our death!
Every extra minute here is a confrontation with death. We are dying slowly in many ways, including hunger and pollution, and there is the quick and effective way, which is bombs and missiles. Please, time is running out. If you can help, even if just a little, do not delay. I do not want the next news to be the news of our death! There will be no benefit to any of what happened. There will be no value to our attempts to cling to life, to be displaced more than 9 times, to sleep on dirt and sewage, and to be forced to use a disgusting and mixed public bathroom. There will be no value to enduring hunger, thirst, cold, heat, insects, or sleeping on the ground. There will certainly be no value to the continuous psychological pain and successive shocks that have been hitting us for 9 months. There is a lot of tragedy here. We are moving corpses due to the severity of what we saw and are still seeing.
Please put yourselves in our place. This is not related to religion or beliefs, it is related to humanity. If you want to help, you will find below the link to my family. A little for you means a lot for a person somewhere else on this unjust planet.

How did we move from comfortable baths and easy-to-access warm water to this situation? We women bathe once a month for religious reasons, but as for men, there are those who have not bathed since the beginning of the war. Why? Difficulty in obtaining water, difficulty in lighting a fire and heating water for bathing, difficulty in control, you will have to cool it and then pour it on yourself as if we were in the Middle Ages, okay, let us assume that these steps were completed successfully, in the end we will not find a place to shower, literally there is no place. To shower in it, there is no privacy, there is nothing. When I have to, I walk long distances to go to shower at my friend’s, tent, and this service is not always available. This is terrible, stupid, and very humiliating. I feel sorry for myself 💔

The Gaza citizen( Including me and my family) , if we did not die because of the bombing, bombs, and famine, we will die because of pollution and the lack of human resources. Here my family and I are baking bread [given that the occupation has deliberately targeted all the bakeries in the area], and we are also baking on firewood due to the lack of electricity for 9 months. We bake among the dirt. And waste and sewage waste. We don’t just bake here, we also eat, sleep and live. We all suffer from hepatitis. It’s like an epidemic here. Not only that, but many digestive, skin, and reproductive diseases, in addition to respiratory diseases, of course, because of firewood, fire, and burning plastic for cooking. We have been going through all this every day for 9 months. Why? To escape death? Holding on to life until the last moment? Are we forced to live in completely inhumane conditions in order to uphold our right to life?

Hello, I am Raghad Qanoa, a medical student in the Gaza Strip. If you are cooperative and sympathetic to the daily suffering of me and my family, then I affer you to donate at the following link, or even try to spread it as much as possible. A little is important

Thanks for reading !!
