See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

god i feel like a character in a kafka novel trying to get this interlibrary loan to go through. this is my second library and my third library card and i’ve got a bunch of numbers written down on my hand and some ink smeared on my face but the librarian i talked with on the phone was very nice and mentioned that she’s planning on reading erha too once she finishes guardian so. this might be light that i’m seeing at the end of the tunnel

this is another unfortunate illustration of talking on the phone superiority i’ve sent a million emails that have only made things more confusing and in five minutes on the phone i got everything worked out also i should read guardian ryddles

somerunner asked:

Have you seen any of Ming Dynasty in 1566? It just came up on my dash again (there's a popular post about it being in-depth about taxes and other mundane law stuff) and I thought "I'd like to hear Resident (Chinese) Film Reviewer's thoughts on this"

I'm probably going to watch it anyway, considering it's on Youtube according to the popular post about it.

i’ve been watching it and i’ve been enjoying it!! these past couple it kind of fell by the wayside in favor of the research (“research”) i’ve been doing for my current writing project, but now that i’ve moved on to the editing phase i’m getting back into the show. i haven’t seen enough of it to do any real discussion but so far i’m really enjoying how smoothly it introduces and interweaves its subplots. lots of palace intrigue stories i’ve seen have trouble with plot-thread cable management and end up cluttered and with stunted emotional throughlines, but this show has managed that really well so far by centering political over personal drama. definitely check it out!!
