a lot of people have reached out to me about their gofundmes so I thought I’d make a post to promote them. all of these have been vetted, so if you’re looking for somebody to donate to, consider one of these!

when youre a trans woman you pretty quickly realize that basically every US comedy TV show made between like 1980 and 2018 is going to have anywhere from one episode to a recurring character thats just a really mean spirited caricature of your lived experience and the thing that makes you happy. and if you ever pick up a new show it becomes a sword of damocles hanging over your head. and if you go on tumblr and the show is popular youll see someone praising it for mentioning queer people.

This shit is incredibile. Like if you just looked at one video from one of the multiple Gazans living in tents who know english and are documenting their lives on tiktok and instagram you’d know.

I know how they get water, how they change their phones (literally one of the first photos ive seen after the genocide started full force), how they cook, how they wash their clothes, how they get money transfer to buy food throught the incredibly simple act of caring and listening.

You are too busy reading The Times of Israel and dehumanizing arabs to the point that even if you were teleported in Gaza right now you’d simply turn the other way and pretend you didn’t see.

I wish nothing but harm your way.

But on a more positive note please donate to Medo Halimy’s gofundme! And if you want to know how they “get wifi” go check out his tiktok and instagram account

also, if you’re actually concerned about how Gazans stay connected, donate eSims. the people supplying these are constantly running low, and without eSims, many Palestinians can’t contact their loved ones or document the genocide of their people.

look i listen to rap so this is like mickey mouse levels of edge to me, but two bars in the homoerotic charli xcx song are absolutely busting and breaking brains among the rainbow faction of the male supremacy committee. they really can’t contend with the knowledge that some women want to fuck other women in a gay way. they would cower in the presence of a dyke overlord like young MA, if i do say so myself.

this is literally charli’s song, billie’s verse obviously needed charli’s approval and they obviously worked on it together. not to mention billie is not even a lesbian but people conveniently forgot that because they love being lesbophobic every chance they get.

Helping Ahmed’s Family: Escaping War to a New Life

image

I am Ahmed Alanqer, a 35-year-old Palestinian man from Gaza. My life revolved around my small family: my wife Dina and our four children: Zeina, Eileen, Yamen, and finally, Ronza, who was born amidst the shelling just a month ago.

My story is a cry from the heart of hell. The war on Gaza began, bringing with it destruction that engulfed everything around us.

Emergency: Help Evacuate My Family From GAZA WAR

Dear Humanity,

I’m Haya from Gaza , from a family of 8 people: my parents, two sons, and four daughters (two of them suffer from allergies).

image

I’ve witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. The urgent need intensifies for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter.

Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn’t meant to be. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.

The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.

We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it’s almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.

Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.

A brief video depicting the devastation that struck our home and our entire neighborhood in Gaza.

Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza’s Allergy Nightmare

I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.

These allergies create a deep sense of fear and anxiety for us, as we live in a constant state of tension and fear of anything that may require a visit to the hospital. We fear being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza because of war or lack of awareness and not informing the doctor of our allergies, which could lead to serious consequences threatening our lives.

Our dreams are heading towards oblivion in the labyrinth of an uncertain future

My story, along with my siblings, represents a united team of four individuals, three of whom are skilled programmers and one graphic designer. We work as freelancers in the world of freelancing.

image

As for my younger sister, she is a student studying at the College of Architecture. She has always carried a big dream in her heart, a dream of being part of changing Gaza, of making it more beautiful and better. She looked forward to the day when she would receive her degree and start building this dream. But the beginning of the war changed everything. The destruction of infrastructure and universities cast shadows of despair over her dreams.

image

When I think of my brother in Belgium, I can’t help but feel deep sadness. He has been suffering from unbearable anxiety and insomnia since the outbreak of the war. Sleep eludes him at night, and his physical and mental health collapses under the weight of these heavy burdens, negatively affecting his performance at work. Problems and challenges pile up in front of him without the slightest opportunity for rest.

We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn’t been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.

As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.

Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.

Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.

I appeal to the world as a whole to hear my cry and the mournful cry of my family in Gaza. We need the helping hand that reaches out to wipe our tears and build a bridge to safety.

Your donation is not just a donation; it’s an opportunity to rebuild life and brighten a better tomorrow. Be part of our hopeful story, for we need your hand to start anew.

The purpose of the fundraising campaign

The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue my family - my parents, my siblings, and me - through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person. This campaign is our only chance to stay alive, and I humbly request your assistance at this critical time. I will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, committing to transparency and clarity.

My name is Aya Maher, a 24-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. I want to share the heartbreaking story of my family. My mother, Ashwaq, is 43 years old, my brother Hamza is 22 years old, my brother Bader is 16, my little sister Nada is 12, and myself. We’ve endured 280 days of continuous bombardment during this devastating war.

Since its onset, we’ve faced a relentless cascade of losses. Our lives have been emptied, and the dreams we once pursued now seem like unattainable fantasies.

image
image

We were displaced from our home, and tragically, we lost our new home as well—a place we had worked tirelessly to create, hoping it would become a sanctuary where we could build beautiful memories.

image
image

Despite being displaced from our home by the presence of occupation forces in our area, we found refuge in the home of relatives. Our lives have been repeatedly endangered by barbaric bombing campaigns. We narrowly escaped death twice during sudden tank attacks. Additionally, we endured intense bombardment while trapped inside our house, enduring a harrowing four-day siege.

image
image

Despite the immense difficulties, my family and I insisted on staying in Gaza, facing the constant threat of bombings and the scarcity of essential resources. Now, after five months of siege, we are on the brink of famine, struggling to find basic necessities like food, water, and medicine. We’ve decided to leave Gaza for our safety, but the high costs of coordination are a barrier.

image
image

My professional life has been utterly decimated. For three years, I thrived as a user interface designer on freelance platforms. However, since the onset of this war, my ability to work has been obliterated. The occupation’s relentless bombing campaigns have ravaged internet infrastructure, rendering it barely functional. Now, even basic online tasks are nearly impossible. Consequently, I’m left without any financial means to sustain myself. What’s even more disheartening is the realization that even after the war concludes, the road back to work will be fraught with obstacles due to the extensive damage inflicted upon network lines.

image
image

I’m reaching out to you with the hope that you can assist us in achieving our goal more quickly. Normally, I wouldn’t ask for help, but the fear of losing a family member has compelled me to seek your assistance. We hope you can empathize with our situation and help us amplify our message so we can achieve our goal swiftly.

Hello,,

My name is Ashraf Alanqar, and I am 30 years old. My wife, Widad Issa, and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son named Bakr. We used to live peacefully in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, in a house we built just a week before the war began. I worked as a farmer and owned a large chicken farm that provided for my family.

Beloved of my heart (Bakr)

image

Then the war came and destroyed everything. Our home was reduced to ashes, and our chicken farm was obliterated. We lost our home, our livelihood, and even our basic rights. We’ve been forced to move from place to place in northern Gaza, simply trying to survive.

The terror we feel as we flee from heavy bombardment is unbearable. The sound of explosions around us, the constant fear as we navigate through the rubble of destroyed homes searching for safety and food, haunts us every day. My son Bakr is constantly scared and suffers from severe malnutrition and skin diseases due to the lack of food, water, and sanitation.

Our beautiful memories.. :(

image

We urgently need your help. I am asking for your support to fund this campaign to move my family to a safe place, provide us with a proper home, and ensure we have enough food, water, and medical care.

Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. We desperately need your support and solidarity during this difficult time. Together, we can restore hope and safety to Ashraf and his family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my plea. Your support means more than words can express. Together, we can turn a story of loss into a journey of hope and resilience.

With deepest gratitude,

Ashraf & the Family

I’d like to spotlight my friend Bilal @bilal-salah0’s campaign today. Bilal has been living in Germany for the past 7 months, and is fundraising for his family back in Gaza.

image

His father’s shoe business, the family’s sole income source, was destroyed in the war, and the money Bilal is raising is now crucial for covering their daily expenses. Food and water are scarce and often contaminated, leading to the spread of skin diseases and viral infections, especially among very young children. Bilal is worried about his whole family, particularly his young nieces and nephews.

Because the Rafah crossing has been closed, the money Bilal has raised so far has been partially used to pay for basic necessities: gas, food, etc. These goods are being sold at exorbitant prices—when they are even available—and the family have had to raise their goal from €70,000 to €100,000.

Bilal is facing possible deportation from Germany on August 15, so this campaign is urgent. He needs to raise the funds before then to support his family’s needs.

His campaign is #136 on @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi’s spreadsheet. Please, donate and share.
