‼️Please don’t skip taking a look 🍉🇵🇸

Hi, my name is Naomi, and I’m from Texas. I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Ahmed Abu Al-Rish, who is in Gaza. This fundraiser is meant to help him and his family escape the genocide.

“Hello, my name is Ahmed, 19 years old from Gaza. I finished high school with a high average and a very good grade, and because of the genocide war on Gaza, I was deprived of enrolling in university. I had dreams and ambitions to study photographic design, but I was deprived of all of that because of the genocide war on Gaza. I was living the best days of my youth. But with the beginning of this war, I became unable to live my normal life. At least our warm house sheltered me and my family until it was bombed for the first time, that damned night. Our house has become like a ghost town. We continued to seek refuge from death there until we were besieged and displaced from our safety under fire to a tent (shelter) in the bitter cold of winter, with the lack of basic necessities of life (water pollution, high cost of living, disease, insect infestation,

‏malnutrition,

‏Difficulty of movement, overcrowding), and many other daily difficulties, especially with the significant increase in prices. This was not the first time we had to be displaced. We moved again from a tent in Rafah to another tent in Khan Yunis. I then returned to our destroyed home to repair what we could to find shelter for my family, despite not having all the basic necessities of life (destroyed sanitation infrastructure and water lines, destroying any form of life). Please help me achieve my dream of completing my academic career at university and for my family to survive this genocide and escape to a safe place. And travel ❤️❤️”

I feel like ive seen quite a few gfms getting passed around and ive observed that a lot of them have stories of such exceptional people who have achieved so much, or were going to before the genocide cut it off. And i really commend them for it, i really do.

But it breaks my heart that palestinians reaching out to us feel the need to have to prove that they are they are good people who are worth the support, like theyre only worth being supported if they had a good gpa or were exceptional in some way.

They shouldnt have to prove that theyre beneficial to the economy somehow to be worth the support. They shouldnt have to be exceptional to deserve help. Our governments are putting them through this, both in the west and around the world too. They shouldnt have to prove anything. We owe them this

Ok this got a lot of notes unexpectedly so gonna link a few fundraisers here of people who reached out to me

these are pictures from before and after the floods. these are 2 days old:

Before and after pictures of the city of Muçum, Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. The before picture shows a gas station and a car parked on the street. The after picture shows the same gas station, now nearly completely submerged in muddy water. Only the rooftop is visible.ALT
Before and after pictures of the city of Muçum, Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. The before picture shows an aerial view of the city, located in a valley, and the nearby river. The after picture shows the river severely overflown and entire city partially submerged in muddy water.ALT
Before and after pictures of the city of Encantado, Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. The before picture shows an aerial view of the city and the nearby river. The after picture shows the river severely overflown and the part of the city located near the shore almost completely submerged in muddy water.ALT

these other pictures are more recent, mostly from yesterday:

Rio Pardo, RS / Eldorado do Sul, RS

Picture taken in the city of Rio Pardo. A street is flooded and a fireman and a policeman are preparing a boat for rescue. Another policeman is maneuvering another boat in the background.ALT
Picture taken in Eldorado do Sul. An aerial view of a flooded neighborhood, partially submerged in water.ALT

Canoas, RS

Picture taken in Canoas. A man pilots a jet ski towards an above water viaduct, where dozens of rescued people are awaiting. Another jet ski and two boats are visible. On the viaduct, four ambulances and many police cars are stationed.ALT
Picture taken in Canoas. An aerial view of a neighborhood partially submerged in water. Twelve boats are navigating in search of stranded and missing people.ALT

Porto Alegre, RS

Picture taken in Porto Alegre. A historical building, the Public Market, is partially submerged in muddy water. A boat with four people is making a turn to the right to see the damage.ALT
Picture taken in Porto Alegre. A drone view of a soccer stadium and the nearby neighborhood. The neighborhood is flooded.ALT

this is a nightmare.

I know my account is small and I usually only use it to say stupid things about the silly media I consume, but this is very important.

The state I was born in is currently underwater. I lived there my entire life and left just six months ago. I have family and friends in Porto Alegre and Viamão but the area they live in wasn’t as affected and they’re all safe and at home. They are currently helping by distributing food and clothes. Most people weren’t so lucky. They lost everything, many lost their lives. Civilian volunteers have been working day and night helping evacuate the victims.

This is the biggest catastrophe Rio Grande do Sul has ever faced.

If you could help at all, be it by donating or spreading awareness, please do.

You can donate to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund for as little as $1.00.

A donation screen from the PCRF with fifty cents typed into the donation box. There is a red outline around the box and red text below it that reads: Amount must be at least $1.00 [USD].ALT

There is a fee you can choose to apply to cover processing.

A screenshot of the PCRF donation screen. There is text next to a checked box that reads: I want to make an additional donation to cover online processing fees, so that my entire contribution goes to The Palestine Children's Relief Fund. ($0.34)ALT

Which if you choose to do leaves you with a total of ~$1.35 (USD) depending on the type of card you have.

A screenshot from the PCRF donation process with text that reads: Amount: $1.34 USD ($1.36 USD for AMEX cards / $1.34 USD for Mastercard or Discover cards)ALT

PCRF has a score of 97% on Charity Navigator.

Adults and children alike are currently dying in Palestine due to starvation. (World Health Organization Link)

The Gaza Strip is one of two places in the entire world that is categorized as Phase 5 (the highest phase) on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification scale.

So even if you think it isn’t enough, remember that donating even as little as $1.35 helps! It’s $1.35 they wouldn’t have had otherwise. So donate if you can. 🇵🇸

Since the minimum is so low, this is a great place to put the last of a prepaid card, don’t just give it back to the card company by tossing it with money still on it! Even a dollar can do good!

I’m so pressed about how evil this company is that I’m reposting Alex’s gofundme over here. They’re trying to bury Alex under so many legal fees that they have no choice but to give up their ip… and they’re only one of many many people (and pets!) that have been harmed by this company.

#this company has literally trademarked people’s real living cats and stolen their instagrams from them#like there is straight up at least one person who had a pet instagram that this company now runs posting old pictures of their cat#and the cat owner’s conclusion was basically “well at least i got to keep my cat” which#holy fuck

image

this is still an active gofundme as they’re trying AGAIN.

company doing the bullshit is Golden Bell btw

There are a few things to do if your computer is not strong enough to efficiently run Nightshade and Glaze, or if you are still waiting to get a Web Glaze account.

Artshield

Artshield is another web-based and free tool to watermark your art and help protect your art against AI-training. It might not be as strong as Glaze and Nightshade, but it is quicker. It is also constantly being worked on, and sometimes might not be able to shield certain pieces of art, but you can help it by making sure the art you’re submitting doesn’t have a whole lot of pure white in the image.

They also have a section on the website where you can check and see if your Shopify has been used to train AI programs. They are also currently working on being able to scan Etsy.

Artshield Website

Artshield Twitter

Post your art at a lower resolution.

It may make the art grainier, but posting art a smaller resolution with a 72 dpi can also help.

Watermark your art

Post any and all art with a watermark of your name and/or handle and the year.

Tumblr is doing some stupid AI shit so go to blog settings > Visibility > Prevent third-party sharing.

image

also use Nightshade and Glaze to protect your artwork and images!!!!

here’s a link to Nightshade

here’s a link to Glaze

best combination is usin Nightshade then Glaze on your images. Glaze creates a protective layer and Nightshade poisons the A.I. software.
