There’s plenty of people with a correct analysis on palestine that don’t have correct analyses on other geopolitical topics, but if someone doesn’t have a correct analysis on palestine in 2024 then that’s a good razor you can use to discount basically all of their other geopolitical analyses
the thing is i’m old enough to remember people expressing doubt about literally every single fundraiser i’ve ever shared, regardless of whether or not those people are sending asks, mostly because they’re from palestine or sudan lol. baraa’s fundraiser (in my pinned) was accused of using ai to fake photos of her niece that she had available for years on her instagram, just because they’re really high-quality photos (she’s an artist! she loves taking and staging great photos!)
like there’s some people here who are just genuinely confused or suspicious about these (and that’s fair, as there have been scams before), but there’s always zionists who are lowkey mad about it too, even though presumably they want palestinians evacuating gaza. but it’s very transparent how they just don’t enjoy seeing any support or sympathy for palestinians at all, and particularly unqualified support, because like within a couple sentences they go from “how do you know this fundraiser is real?” to “how do you know you’re not donating to terrorists? btw the UNRWA has links to—” like…
