My research activities are focused on microbiological diagnostics of causative agents of human tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria. As the Head of the Clinical Laboratory for Microbiological Diagnostics of Tuberculosis and Mycobacteriosis at the Institute of Public Health in Ostrava, I am not only responsible for epidemiological studies but also for the coordination of the testing of antituberculosis drugs and disinfection, the effectiveness of routinely used and developed chemical compounds, the processing of clinical specimens, and consultation with clinicians. I have published 21 papers in impacted journals (h-index of 8).
