Lluisa Escoda holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Barcelona and a doctorate in Chemical Sciences and Industrial Engineering from the University of Girona. Her research is based on the synthesis and characterization of new materials, especially magnetic materials with shape memory. She is a specialist in the structural, thermodynamic and morphological characterization of materials. She is accredited as a professor by AQU Catalunya and as a University Professor by ANECA. Her full-time scientific career began in 2006 when she became an Associate Professor at the UdG. She has participated in 146 conferences between communications and posters with a high number of participation in international conferences. She participated as a moderator in a Session of the V National Congress of Powder Metallurgy and was a member of the local organizing committee of MEDICTA in 2015. She has also participated in 18 research projects (3 of them as a shared principal researcher) obtained in public calls from public administrations. She is the main researcher of the European project without Spanish funding HYDROFUEL that belongs to M-ERA.NET 2016. She has also participated in two technology transfer projects belonging to the public administration that have led her to carry out different campaigns for the determination of noise pollution in town halls and schools.
