Roberto Araya ([email protected]; ORCID 0000-0003-2598-8994) is a Full Professor at the Institute of Education, University of Chile. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. He obtained the Best Paper Award of the 10th International Conference in Methodologies and Intelligent Systems for Technology Enhanced Learning MIS4TEL 2020, Italy; Best Paper Award of the 10th International Conference on Web-based Learning - ICWL 2011, Hong Kong; Best Poster Award of the12th European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning - ECTEL 2017, Estonia. He was also nominated for the Best Paper Award of the Artificial Intelligence in Education Conference AIED 2022, Durham, UK. He has led projects funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada, the Finnish Academy of Sciences, together with ANID Chile, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Education Endowment Foundation.
