George Perry is a Professor at the School of Environment, The University of Auckland. He completed undergraduate and Masters studies in the Departments of Geography and Plant and Microbial Sciences at the University of Canterbury, followed by a Ph.D. at the University of Melbourne. He worked in the Department of Geography at King's College London for four years before joining The University of Auckland. His areas of expertise include spatial ecology, forest ecology, landscape ecology, palaeoecology, extinction, fire ecology, and ecological modeling.
