Dr. Agnieszka Rybi - Szumińska

Agnieszka Rybi Szumińska, M.D., Ph.D., graduated from the Medical University of Bialystok in 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2010, received specialization in Pediatrics in 2013 and specialization in Pediatric Nephrology in 2017. She has been employed at the Medical University of Bialystok in the Department of Pediatrics and Nephrology since 2011. As a nephrologist, she treats patients with various kidney disorders, especially glomerulopathies and chronic kidney disease including management of renal replacement therapy. Her research topics mainly include nephrotic syndrome in the aspect of pathogenesis and new treatment perspectives, urolithiasis in children and adolescents, biomarkers of kidney injury as well as pathogenesis of pediatric hypertension. She actively participated in the OLAF study establishing the percentile charts of height, weight and blood pressure for Polish population aged 6-18. She is a co-author of 81 publications, including 25 original papers with a total impact index of IF – 44,691, h-index=8.
