Wemerson Delcio Parreira received a bachelor’s in mathematics from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) in Uberlândia, Brazil, an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from UFU, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brazil in 2002, 2005, and 2012, respectively. He is currently a professor with the University of Vale do Itajaí in Itajai, Brazil. He is involved in research at the Laboratory of Embedded and Distributed Systems. His experience is in mathematical modeling, with an emphasis on electrical, computer, and biomedical Engineering. His current research interests include reproducing kernels, linear and nonlinear adaptive control, image processing, speech processing, and statistical signal processing.
