Information

Dr. Alexandre A. Vetcher is Deputy Director at the Scientific and educational center "Nanotechnology" at the Institute of Biochemical Technology and Nanotechnology of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and Associate Director (Science) at Complementary and Integrative Health Clinic of Dr. Shishonin. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from Belorussian State University n.a.V.I. Lenin (1981), and M.S. in Molecular, Physical, and Chemical Biology from the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University branch at Pustchino-na-Oke (1983). He completed his Ph.D. studies in Biological Sciences at the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1988). He proposed a novel way of electrophoretic separation of metallic and semiconducting single-wall carbon nanotubes through nucleic acid wrapping (2007). His manuscript “Gel mobilities of linking-number topoisomers and their dependence on DNA helical repeat and elasticity” in Biophysical Chemistry has been selected and evaluated by Dr. Maxwell, which places it in the F1000 library of the top 2% of published articles in biology and medicine (2010). He proved, with topological and FRET-based kinetics assays, that loxP sites are in parallel orientation in Cre-synaptosome (2020). He concurred with Dr. Shishonin on the idea of centralized aerobic–anaerobic energy balance compensation in the cycle of publications collected in the Complimentary and Integrative Health Clinic of Dr. Shishonin (2021).
