I am currently a Principal Investigator of the Itoshima Felix Study (IFS). After receiving my first PhD in Human Environment Studies at Kyushu University in 2010, I started working as a Research Fellow at Hisayama Study, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, from 2010 to 2016. I received my second PhD license as a Doctor of Medicine in 2017. I have also been working as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science for five years. I have more than 12 years of experience in Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine for human well-being. I’m interested in the influence of physical activity and muscle function on preventing long-term care needs or healthy longevity in community-dwelling older adults.
