Angel Vicente-Escuder has been a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) since 1990. Industrial Technical Engineer, Degree in Industrial Chemistry (1985) and Degree in Metallurgy (1992). Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials (2014). Currently studying the Doctorate Program in Industrial Engineering and Production. Since 1994, I have been a full professor at the university school, in the area of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. Since joining the UPV, I have taught in different engineering schools and currently in different degrees. And mostly in the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development. I have also collaborated in the different lines of research existing at the Institute of Materials Technology (ITM), in which I am attached: polymer matrix composite materials, metal welding and surface coatings, development of metal alloys by powder metallurgy, among others. This research trajectory has allowed me to specialize in the mechanical characterization of materials, both static and dynamic, being responsible for the laboratory of dynamic tests and fracture of the ITM.
