Prof. Lu Wang graduated with a BSc (1982) and an MSc (1987) in textile engineering from Donghua University, Shanghai, China, and was awarded a Ph.D. (2001) in biomedical textile from the University of Haute-Alsace, Mulhouse, France. She has been serving as a professor in textile engineering and biomedical Textiles at Donghua University since 2003. She is currently a director of the Key Lab. of Textile Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, China. Her main research interests are biomedical textiles (such as vascular prostheses, hernia mesh, sutures, functional dressings, degradable ureteral stents, etc.) and the functional design, preparation, and performance research of green wool textiles.
