Reka Barabas is a Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Veszprém (Hungary) in 2000. She is a former board member of the TransSilvanus Association and former president of the Proscholamontessorii Association. She is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Engineering and Technology Innovation (IJETI) and Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. She also serves as a member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and she is the Scientific Secretary of the Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from Cluj, Romania.
