Margarida Espírito-Santo obtained her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine & Biosciences, Cranfield University (UK) in 2017. She is a specialist in Community Pharmacy and currently works as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Health, University of Algarve, Faro, Portugal. Since September 2023, she has been the president of the Scientific Council of a regional Pharmacovigilance Unit (UFALBA - Pharmacovigilance Unit of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo). Her research interests include the areas of medical and health sciences with an emphasis on pharmacology and clinical pharmacy, health literacy, epidemiology, and pharmacovigilance.
