Arlex Rodríguez-Durán is a PhD student at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Brazil. Master in Animal Health from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He has been a professor at the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia. Currently he is part of the Biotechnology Center of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande de Sul and the Veterinary Parasitology Research Group, Veterinary Parasitology Laboratory, Universidad Nacional de Colombia. The research areas in which he has worked include parasitology and veterinary immunology, with studies in the identification of gastrointestinal parasites, hemoparasites, and ectoparasites, with a greater emphasis on the study of ticks and pathogens that transmit, resistance, and control methods through the identification of anti-tick proteins.
