Konstantinos A. PASCHALIDIS is an Associate Professor, Department of Agriculture, Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), Heraklion, Greece. He earned his B.S. in Plant Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, his M.S. in Plant Biology and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the University of Crete (UOC, 2003). He has worked at several Academic/Research Institutes. His research focuses on Nitrogen and Abiotic Plant Stress Mechanisms and he currently works on the sustainable utilization of endemic Cretan plants with pharmaceutical and/or nutritional interest. He has participated in 22 European Projects/Networks and has gained International Honours. He has published 42 papers in Peer Reviewed Scientific Journals, and more than 100 chapters/databases/abstracts/papers in Scientific Meetings/Databases. He is a member of committees dealing with international relations, equality, pre/postgraduate studies and lifelong learning/training and he is a polyglot member in International Scientific Societies.
