Dr. Madaín Pérez-Patricio received a Ph.D. degree in automation and industrial computing from the Université Lille 1, Sciences et Technologies, Villeneuve-d’Ascq, France, in 2005. Since September 1997, he has been a Research Professor at the Department of Postgraduate Research, National Technological Institute of Mexico, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico. Dr. Madaín has been selected as the National Researcher from the Mexican National Institute of Researchers. He is also the leader of the National Network for Data Monitoring and Collection of the Tecnologico Nacional de Mexico. His main research interests are in computer vision, machine learning, and intelligent systems and their applications in agro-industries.
