Ilias Savvas received his Ph.D. degree in computer science at the University College of Dublin in Ireland. He is a professor at the Department of Digital Systems and Dean at the Faculty of Technology, University of Thessaly, Greece. His research interests include issues related to parallel and distributed computing, data mining, high-performance computing, machine learning, and quantum computing. He is the author of a lot of research studies published in international journals and conference proceedings, as well as a book chapter. He is also a member of various journal and conference program and scientific program committees and has served as general chair in a number of international conferences.
