I have a PhD in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), with a sandwich PhD at the University of Chile. I am currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Systems at UFPE, a member of the Board and Vice-Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Design at UFPE. I have experience in the field of Computer Science, with an emphasis on Embedded Systems, mainly focusing on interaction, interaction devices, Virtual and Augmented Reality, high-performance computing, and parallel programming. I currently work as a senior researcher in the Voxar Labs Research Group at the UFPE Computer Science Center. I have participated as a member of the CERV and have been involved in organizing important events in the field of Virtual Reality, such as SVR and ISMAR.
