Md. Rostom Ali is a Professor at the Department of Farm Power and Machinery (FPM), Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). He has over 20 years of teaching and research experiences. He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, BUET. He earned an MS in FPM from BAU. He also received a PhD (Engineering) from Tohoku University, Japan, in 2011. He worked as a Visiting Research Scholar at Kyoto University, Japan. He has published 50 research articles and successfully conducted several research projects as principal investigator. Currently, he is also a research coordinator and a researcher of two USAID-funded projects entitled "Appropriate Scale Mechanization Innovation Hub (ASMIH), Bangladesh" and "Post-Harvest Loss Reduction Innovation Lab (PHLIL), Bangladesh", respectively.
