Zahir M. Hussain obtained a PhD from QUT, Australia. In 2001, he joined RMIT, Australia, and led a 3G project; then, he received an ARC discovery grant on short word-length processing (SWL). He has over 250 publications. He won the RMIT Publication Awards in 2005 and 2006 and the RMIT Teaching Award in 2007. The British Science Council granted him the title of Chartered Scientist. He is an Editor at MDPI Sensors and MDPI Information. He has examined over 70 PhDs and supervised 29 PhDs. In 2010, RMIT granted him a professorship. Then, he joined the University of Kufa followed by Edith Cowan University (Australia) as a Professor of Engineering.
