Prof. Rongguo Zhao is a doctor, professor, and doctoral supervisor. He is deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, Xiangtan University; deputy director of the Institute of Rheological Mechanics; and director of the Key Laboratory of Dynamics and Reliability of Engineering Structures, College of Hunan Province. From 1994 to 1998, he studied Mechatronic Engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xiangtan University, gaining a bachelor’s degree in engineering. From 1998 to 2001, he studied General Mechanics and Fundamental Mechanics at the Institute of Rheological Mechanics, Xiangtan University, gaining a master’s degree in engineering. From 2001 to 2004, he studied Engineering Mechanics at the China Academy of Engineering Physics, obtaining a doctoral degree in engineering. From 2004 to 2022, he engaged in teaching and scientific research at the College of Civil Engineering and Mechanics of Xiangtan University. Since 2022, he has engaged in teaching and scientific research at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, Xiangtan University. He presided over or participated in 5 national and 16 provincial scientific research projects, and he presided over 5 enterprise research projects. He has edited 2 monographs, participated in 2 monographs, and published over 80 academic papers, including 62 papers indexed by SCI and EI. He won the National Xu Zhilun Excellent Teacher Award for Mechanics and the Third China Youth Award for Rheology.
