Dr. Bartosz M. Szmyd is a medical doctor during his neurosurgical residency in the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuro-Oncology at Barlicki University Hospital (Chief: Prof. Dariusz J. Jaskólski). Moreover, he is also a Ph.D. candidate in BRaIn at the Medical University of Lodz. His main area of interest includes neuroscience, oncology, and molecular biology. His most recent scientific projects concern the identification of genetic predisposition to neoplasm and carcinogenesis in Nijmegen breakage syndrome.
