Information

Degree in Geology 'cum laude' at the Bologna University in 1990 with an experimental thesis on the Pliocene-Pleistocene Biostratigraphy and Paleoclimatology. AGIP Geochemistry Dept. since 1991 as specialist in Applied Geochemistry (Regional Source Rock Evaluation, Geochemical Modelling, Oil-Oil and Oil-Source correlations). First ENI’s applications of Chemical Stratigraphy for Reservoir Correlations, Stratigraphic Units characterisation and Post-drilling studies. R&D projects in the fields of Molecular Stratigraphy, Organic Facies characterisation and Marine Isotope Stratigraphy, the latter with special emphasis on the application of Astronomical Cyclostratigraphy for unconventional stratigraphic correlations. AGIP Technology Development Award 1996 for the Isotope Stratigraphy project. Consolidated experience in Applied Geostatistics, Data Mining and Time-series Analysis as tools to improving the interpretation of complex datasets. Currently joined in ENI’s Geology and Geochemistry Labs Dept. (GEOLAB), with a special attention on improving the Chemical Stratigraphy methodology. Presently involved in the application of geostatistical approach for the characterization of porous systems, and in some new R&D projects. Special field of interest in Paleoclimatology as personal research activity. External collaborator of the Giovanni Capellini Geological Museum, Bologna University, Italy since 2017.
