Dr. Monica Vaccari is an Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, at the the Division of Immunology at Tulane National Primate Research Center. She received her Ph.D. degree at the University of Milan and completed her postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Health. Her research interests include HIV/SIV (prevention, eradication, comorbidities), SARS-CoV-2, influenza, and aging. She is also a recipient of the 2021 Spirit of Tulane Award.
