Lia Fiaschi holds a Master's Degree in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Siena obtained in 2015. She carried out a two-year internship at the Department of Medical Biotechnology of the University of Siena in the field of Microbiology, assimilating a variety of molecular biology and microbiology techniques and recombinant DNA techniques. Currently, she is a PhD student at the Department of Medical Biotechnologies of the Univeristy Hospital of Siena and she is working on the impact of neutralizing antibodies in vaccinated, unvaccinated or previously infected patients in relation to SARS-Cov-2 infection, carrying out most of the experiments in a level 3 biosecurity laboratory. She is also working on the field of antiviral drug discovery and development towards SARS-Cov-2 and flaviviruses.
