Rodney P. Jones is the Statistical Advisor at the Healthcare Analysis & Forecasting. He has a BSc (Hon) in Microbiology/biochemistry, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Biochemical) and is a qualified management accountant. His career outside the NHS covers 7 years in academia and research (Biochemical Engineering) and 10 years in industry as a group process development engineer for blue-chip FMCG plc and as general manager of an international laboratory proficiency testing organization. He is the author of hundreds of papers, articles & reports, is an invited speaker at national conferences, and is an editorial board member of several journals. According to Research Gate, his research places him in the top 5% of international researchers and academics. In 1993 he made the chance discovery of a new type or kind of disease outbreak and has spent 30 years investigating how such outbreaks could occur.
