Prof. Yongliang Zhang is currently working as a Professor and
Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Animal Science, South China Agricultural
University, Guangzhou, China. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular
Biology in 1999. In 2005, he served as a Doctoral Supervisor in Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology at Jilin University. Then, he was
transferred to the College of Animal Science of South China Agricultural
University. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the National Society of Animal
Physiology and Biochemistry, the Vice Chairman of the Society of Agricultural
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong
Provincial Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society. He also is the Deputy
Director of the National Pig Breeding Industry Engineering Technology Research
Center, Academic Leader, and Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Key
Laboratory of Agricultural Animal Genomics and Molecular Breeding. His main
research interests include animal nutrition biochemistry, animal biotechnology,
the development of functional additives, and feed biotechnology.
