Dr. Anagnostopoulos Ioannis received his diploma in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology, and he received his PhD in the field of Internet Information Management in February 2004 from the National Technical University of Athens. He served from 2004 in several academic departments as an invited lecturer, adjunct professor, lecturer, and assistant professor (University of the Aegean, University of Piraeus, National Technical University of Athens, University of Thessaly). Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Thessaly. His research interests include web information management, internet technologies and web applications, multimedia retrieval, personalization/adaptation, social networking and integrated services, data management in bioinformatics, and network optimization algorithms.
