Ruimao Hua received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Environmental Chemistry and Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan) in September 1996. He then spent 6 years at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) developing green methodologies in organic synthesis. In April 2002, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University. His research interests lie in alkyne chemistry and organic materials for displays (liquid crystal displays and OLED displays).
