Dr Al Qubeissi is Department Head and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, University of Doha for Science and Technology. Prior to that, Aug 2015 - Aug 2023, he served as an Associate Professor and a Curriculum Lead of Renewable Energy/Thermofluids disciplines at Coventry University, UK, a member of UnICEG, IAENG –ISME, IMechE, the Institute for Future Transport and Cities, and a Programme Leader of MSc Renewable Energy Engineering. During 2012 - 2015, he was a Lecturer in engineering at the University of Brighton, UK. Dr Al Qubeissi is a Chartered Engineer MIMechE, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, experienced in computational thermofluids and mechanical energy systems. His other relevant skills include the modelling of turbine combustion, PV/T, and battery thermal management. His research efforts have been disseminated via 120+ publications in high-impact journals, conference proceedings, and monographs. Dr Al Qubeissi has been involved in leading dozens of research projects and PhD theses.
