Prof. Mohamed Bouaziz was awarded a PhD from Sfax University, Tunisia, and Kew Gardens, London, UK. He has been working on analytical organic chemistry for the past 21 years. Now, as a full professor, he is Director of Studies and member of the Scientific Council at the College of Biotechnology, named "Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Sfax-Tunisia" of the University of Sfax. In addition, he is a Scientific Evaluator Expert for the Euro-Mediterranean projects and CNEAR assessments of research laboratories in Tunisia. He has benefitted from training at MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI)-Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) as part of the MIT-Educator Tunisia program, which is a program responding to the new challenges of higher education in life sciences, curriculum design, and implementation, with an emphasis on innovation in teaching skills. He has published more than 223 papers in top-ranked international food chemistry journals and books (H-index of 50 in Scopus). He has extended his valuable service for many years and has been the recipient of many awards and grants. His international experience includes various programs, contributions, and participation in different countries in diverse fields of study. Recently, in August 2022, he received the presidential prize of Tunisia for the best researcher and inventor, as well as the prize of the governorate of Sfax and the University of Sfax for the best researcher of the university.
