Jacques Demongeot is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Medicine of the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and an Honorary Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France (chair of biomathematics). He completed his MD and PhD in Mathematics. Prof. Demongeot is a member of the AGEIS lab, which is dedicated to gerontechnology and e-health. He founded the CNRS-UGA TIMC laboratory, specializing in biomodeling, medical informatics, and surgical robotics, which he directed from 1987 to 2011. Prof. Demongeot also created the Public Health Department at the University Hospital of Grenoble and the EDISCE Doctoral School, devoted to Medical Engineering. He has published about 500 articles, mainly focused on biomathematics, bioinformatics, and medical engineering.
