Manuel Ángel Aguilar received the degrees of Agricultural Engineer and Doctor of Agricultural Engineering from the University of Córdoba, Spain, in 1996 and 2001 respectively. In 1999 he began his career as a professor of Graphic Expression in Engineering, after two years in private company. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of Almería and belongs to the Engineering department. In recent years he has led two research projects working with high resolution satellite images (IKONOS, QuickBird, GeoEye-1, and WorldView-2). His areas of interest are related to the orientation and orthorectification of VHR satellite images, digital elevation models, remote sensing and digital photogrammetry. He is the author of numerous international JCR (Science Citation Index) publications mainly in the categories of Remote Sensing and Agriculture Multidisciplinary, Imaging Science & Photographic Technology and Geosciences Multidisciplinary.
