Prof. Dr. Shuhong Sun has a position as a professor and doctoral supervisor and is currently working at the College of Animal Science and Technology, Shandong Agricultural University. She is the head of the reference laboratory for avian Salmonella testing recognized by the China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center. She holds a master’s and doctoral degree in preventive veterinary medicine from Shandong Agricultural University and was a postdoctoral fellow in biology at the Shandong Agricultural University. She was a visiting scholar at the Institute of Poultry Diseases and Poultry Tumor Diseases, Ministry of Agriculture, Michigan State University. She has been engaged in teaching and scientific research on animal disease prevention and control. She has presided over more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects, including the National Public Welfare Industry (Agriculture) Science and Technology Special Project, the National Key R&D Project Sub-Project, and the Shandong Province Major Agricultural Applied Technology Innovation Project. She has formulated two national standards, eight industry standards and Shandong provincial standards, and obtained four invention patents and six software copyrights. She won one second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award (3rd place) and two first prizes in the Shandong Province Science and Technology Progress Award (3rd place).
